Middle Eastern Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1 cup Panko (Japanese bread crumbs)

  • 1 egg

  • I medium Spanish onion finely chopped

  • ¾ teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon smoked Paprika

  • ½ cup Italian parsley finely chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Olive oil

TO MAKE

Gently mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and season to taste. Make one meat ball and sauté in a nonstick pan with olive oil. Adjust seasoning to the rest of the batch after tasting the “tester” meat ball.

Preheat the oven to 350 on bake. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and drizzle olive oil to coat the paper. Place the meat balls or patties on the sheet pan and place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes.
